The British Library’s major exhibition, Harry Potter: A History of Magic, in partnership with Bloomsbury, is open in London until 28 February 2018. You can visit displays, and also livestreamed events and talks, at the following libraries: Based on the school subjects studied by Hogwarts students, the exhibition combines centuries-old British Library treasures, including some of the oldest items in the Library’s collection, with original material from publisher Bloomsbury and J.K. The displays have been developed by the British Library in collaboration with public libraries through the Living Knowledge Network, an innovative partnership between the British Library and 22 major libraries across the UK, and in partnership with the National Library of Scotland and the National Library of Wales. Harry Potter: A History of Magic opens today at the British Library in London. ![]() ![]() Local connections to magic and folklore are also showcased, including amazing physical items from local library collections. ![]() Rowling and Bloomsbury’s own collections. The displays include images of items featured in the British Library’s exhibition, including rare books, manuscripts and magical objects, as well as copies of materials from J.K. ![]()
